Ready for Combat

Do you have that one item that you've been dying to get for the longest? And you couldn't buy it because you didn't have the money or it was sold out in your size?
Same here. Except my problem with this one particular item were the reviews.

A few months back, I found the perfect combat boot. Madden Girl Raszcal Boot. I've been putting it off because of the price. It sold out in my size on Zooshoo so I headed over to Amazon and they have it for a few bucks cheaper. That's when I noticed the reviews. Most buyers were saying after the first/second time they've been worn, they start to scuff at the toe. My reaction: NOOOOOOOO!!! :(

So, what to do? Do I buy them anyway and take my chances..or just not buy them and save my money for a different boot?
Has this happened to you? What would you do?

  1. Yes that was me last year. I was eyeing those miu miu glitter sneakers. and they were too expensive. After 4 months of not being able to shake them, I closed my eyes and bought them. Now they are glitter and shed a lot. like your boots that start to scuff at the toe. But I love them and would still have bought them. But when it comes to a scuff on the boot i think it depends on how one walks. if you don't think it's worth it. then save the money. just my two cents.

  2. I hate when you find the perfect item but then something prevents you from getting them! These are super awesome!

  3. I love that boot however I think it's a bit pricey for a product that could potentially hurt your foot! I got my combat boots at F21 back when I was working there and LOVE them and they were also only $29.50. I would continue to browse around, even local shops have some pretty cute ones. I know Forever Young Shoes here in UT does but I don't think they have an online store unfortunately /:

    Good luck!

  4. This definitely happened to me before. I saw a pair of cute color block flats and It was sold out in stores. Went online and saw the same exact pair that I wanted and read bad reviews. I end up purchasing the colorblock flats anyways because I really want "that" pair. Couldnt help myself.

i feel like even if the boot scuff, you can always bring it to a shore store and have them repair it the bottom.

  5. I like the look of combat boots when they are a little roughed up, so I would probably get them, but if they were any other kind of boot I would pass.
