Summer Wedding

I totally forgot that ChicTrends contacted me to be in a contest so I hurried to find something for Summer Wedding Wear. I can't remember the last time I've been to a wedding. Oh yea! It was my moms and my aunts back in '96. All my friends are already married so I guess I'm not going to one anytime soon. But if I was, I'd definitely wear this. It's from Lulu's and it's been sitting in my closet for months just waiting to be shown off. I'm in love with the floral print and how they're just so bright. And y'all know my favorite color is pink! So for a pink pout, I chose Pink Pop from the Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids collection and I thought white accessories would go great so I chose these ankle strap heels and white clutch. I don't know why I look so tan in these photos either, but I don't care. I love it! (see what I did there)

Plain Jane with a Pop

I was never a fan of wearing crop tops. I haven't had the belly for them since before I had Brayden and even then I didn't wear them. There's still a little pudge lingering around but that wont' stop me. It seems that the only way I'd wear them would be with high-waisted jeans. These are my first pair and I LOVE them. So when I saw Eboni post that crop tops would be the inspiration for this weeks Style Me Friday, I hopped on it.

I bought this top in blue as well and I love the way it covers just enough tummy. I've hid these jeans forever at work hoping nobody would find them. They didn't so I knew it was a sign! They're perfect! And the shoes! I picked these (along with 2 other pairs) when I won ShoeDazzle's VIP contest on Instagram! They're comfy and I love the color!

All That Neon

I have been eyeing this bag for a minute! I first saw it on base along with an all pink bag I thought was cute. That was back when they were new so they were still around the original price of $60. No thank you! Then I saw it in Ross for around $30, but I was so broke. Don't you hate that? I love bright colors so it was a no brainer that I was going to get this bag.

So how did I get it, you ask? My wonderful husband of course! I went to take my son to school Monday (our anniversary) and my back was sitting on the front seat..along with my new watch inside of it! I cried. No really, I cried. Brayden was looking at me like I was crazy.
Plus, I have some neon that I wanted to pair it with! Which brings me to these heels. Right when I'm getting used to wearing them, the stupid loop that you put the strap in, it broke! So now the strap will be sticking out IF it stays in that buckle (that we all know doesn't do its job). So now I have to figure out some way to hold that sucker down.

A Special Day x2/eShakti Review

I've been waiting for the weather to break to wear this little number. Yesterday was my and Troy's 2nd anniversary. I figure why not wear something to do with love?!
Awhile back I was contacted by eShakti to pick an item and give it a review. Here it is..

I loved this skirt when I first received it and couldn't wait to wear it. It fits great and it's high-waisted. I had it customized to knee-length and pockets added.  I went to put it on and it was cute and everything, but the puffiness under the waist area was not cutting it. I even ironed it forever and it still stayed. Not to mention the wrinkles didn't come out either. It also makes my butt look really flat! I would love this skirt more if it was a little more fitted.

About eShakti
eShakti began as a small website offering basic cottons and modestly embellished pieces. As we grew, we were tasked with providing design and fit solutions to meet our customers' needs. Today, we are an international fashion design company making custom clothing. Offering both style and fit customization for women size 0 through 36 is the heart of our business.

I absolutely love eShakti's products. Anything can be customized to fit your needs. They always have sales but everything goes so quickly! At the moment,  they have a deal where if you register now, you get $25 off your first order! Not to mention they have super fast shipping! Head over to eShakti now to find an item of the latest trends!

And yesterday was also Hanson Day! Most of you know from following me on Instagram, that I'm in love with my favorite band. May 6th is a big deal in Tulsa and to Hanson fans everywhere. On that day in '97, the then-governor of Tulsa declared it Hanson day because their first album, Middle of Nowhere was released. Pretty much every year, Hanson holds a weekend long members only event to their fans. Pretty neat huh?! (Btw, having my wedding on Hanson day was totally unplanned. I swear it!)

New Haul In!

I finally went out shopping the other day. Lord Jesus, it felt great! I haven't shopped for myself since before Christmas. In a way, that was a good thing. I stopped by B&BW, Target, TJMaxx, and Forever 21 to grab a few things. Here's what I got.

Of course I had to stop by B&BW. They were having their 2/$22 sale for their 3-wick candles and 3/$10 sale for the mini's. Since my husband loves anything to do with the beach or island, I picked these up from the Tropical Escape collection. (The Pink Sangria was for me.) I can't wait to burn these!

Maybelline's lip colors are a favorite of mine. I have some others than the ones shown, these are just recent purchases. Mauve It Up and Blissful Berry were more fall colors but I can't stop wearing them. Hot Plum and Shocking Coral are from the newest collection, Sensational Vivids. I love the Color Sensationals because they're so creamy and they have crisp color!

The three in the back are Revlon's ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks. They contain shea butter and aloe and have a soft suede finish. The colors are Private Viewing, High Heels, & Backstage. The one in the front is the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Violet Frenzy. I wanted to try something more daring and dark.

I'm loving this Photoready concealer. I hate these dark circles under my eyes so this is now my new best friend. I've heard good things about the Nearly Naked items so I decided to give it a try. I may have to purchase the liquid as well, just to see what's better for me.

I also picked up some new mascara. My Covergirl tube ran a bit dry (I don't use mascara often) so I picked up the new Rocket from Maybelline. I tested it out today while I sat around the house. Not too bad. And I love the coloring of the tube!

Don't you just love $1 items? I picked these up from Target. Now I'm not a makeup pro or anything, so I'll take what I can get. I don't know how good Elf products are but I'm willing to give them a shot. If it does the deed, I can't complain.

I was so broke when the Prabal Gurung collection came to Target, so I was lucky I could get my hands on these about a week later. These are super comfy and I actually had to go a whole size down. I can't wait to wear these soon!

I rarely shop in the Forever 21 store. I'd rather order online. The belted skirts were only $12.60 and the other 3 were only $6.80. I couldn't help but to go overboard and grab a few. They had a cute pink color but not in my size :(  The flats I needed for work. Can't work in heels all day!

My husband and I are face product junkies. We're always switching up our products to see what works. I get blackheads all the time (mainly from soda) so I picked up the scrub. A couple days later, I saw that the morning burst was on sale. Oh my God, it feels great! And it actually does wake me up!

I recently picked up a PT job at a women's boutique called Private Gallery. They have stores in the Southeastern part of the U.S. and one in TX. They carry designer brands such as French Connection, BB Dakota, MM Couture, Michael Kors, Hobo, Michael Stars, and others. I've seen so many cute things I want already! I'm pretty sure that you'll see me rockin' some items from P.G. very soon! If you don't have a store where you live, you can check out their website!
