Fall Shades

OK so..what a year it has been! My last blog post was way back in May. Alot has happened in life since then. My husband had came home to visit from overseas, I started working at part-time job in addition to my full-time, AND we moved across the country! I've been a walking zombie from then until a month ago. So I think I needed a little break from blogging, even though I felt bad doing so. All my outfits have been blogged on my Instagram, so it's kind of like I never left. I haven't gotten the chance to go through Bloglovin and read other bloggers' posts, so I'll need to pick up on that.

Anyhoo, fall is finally here in Arizona (yes I'm aware winter is approaching) so my sister and I headed to the park to shoot this look. White is just so classy but I try not to wear it too much cause of course it gets dirty. I've had this skirt in my closet for a few months and this is the first time I've worn it. Y'all know I love anything bodycon! I paired it with this burnt orange top which is a perfect fall shade and these brown heels and voila! We took these photos in the morning so it was still chilly but the coat came off about 20 mins later. Btw, I just love our new neighborhood! There's only about 50 homes and their still building new houses! I scoped out the potential locations for my shoots and they're fab! Can't wait to share! Outfit details are posted below. :)

Blush + Blue

These pics were taken last summer and never made it to the blog so I'm just gonna feature these as a Wayback Wednesday post. Lol. I no longer own this dress but I did like it alot. Maybe cause it was a bodycon? And I'm also a sucker for blue-based florals. Also, not to mention this bad boy was under $10! I threw on my blush cork wedges (which also happens to make my legs look longer) to complete my look. See y'all Friday!

What The Holidays Mean To Me

Hey y'all!
It's finally that time of year that we all love. Cold weather, hot cocoa, delicious food, sparkly apparel, aloe infused socks...ok that last one is my fav. Growing up in VA the holidays meant so much. All the snow, bumper to bumper traffic for holiday shopping, family dinners. Living in AZ and FL the past few years has made me miss all that. Minus the traffic. People think I'm nuts when I say I miss the snow. My husband can't stand it.

The holidays to me mean..fashion. Duh! Idk if it's just me, but I'm dreading the hot months just waiting from November to come around. I love when fashionistas start layering. It takes some knowledge to know how to stack your apparel. I, for one, love to layer but of course I live in Florida so it doesn't last very long. Just one reason why I want to move. I need my cold weather!

Another thing I love is music! Who doesn't love Christmas music!? I owe it all to my mom and stepdad. When us kids were little, they would play the oldies when we'd put all the decorations up and on Christmas while we got ready for the day. Oh and while we're on the subject,  let me tell y'all..my parents would make us eat breakfast, brush our teeth, and get dressed, all before we could open our gifts. Torture I tell ya! Brayden wouldn't dare let me do that to him. Lol.

One last and important thing I love about the holidays is coming together. Whether it be family, friends, coworkers, or maybe people you barely know. This year, I'm thankful to have my mom and sister with us. My husband isn't here this year so it really makes it easier. Plus I have her to make some awesome food! I also have my coworkers. When we're altogether, it doesn't really feel like we're working. (But we do, I swear!) Each person brings something they think another will enjoy. Whether it be a gift or food. We love food there!
